The Friends of Bram Stoker

Welcome to our website.

This year we are celebrating the Centenary of the death of Bram Stoker. So far it has been a very eventful year here in Dublin with participation by most of Dublin's top institutions, libraries and archives, supported by City and State. The Friends wish to express their thanks to everybody who has contributed towards the success of the events from April to October.

The big announcement of the year was the inauguration of an annual Bram Stoker Festival for Dublin City over the October Holiday weekend each year. This year there were 30 events which were well attended.

Something to look forward to is the first of the annual Bram Stoker Lectures in The National Gallery. The guest speaker for this year is Sir Christopher Frayling, Professor Emeritus, Royal College of Art.

The Bram Stoker Lecture: Visualising the Gothic - Ways of Seeing the Unseen, is at 6.30pm on Thursday, 29th November, 2012.

Launched by the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Naoise Ó Muirí. Introduced by Professor Nicholas Daly, University College Dublin. Supported by UNESCO City of Literature and the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.

This talk is free, no booking required.
